Am I (under 18 years) allowed to stay at your campsite without an adult companion?
As soon as you are 16 years, you are allowed to come with a maximum of 4 friends during the low season to gather your first camping experience with your tent. Simply bring your parents’ declaration of consent with you when you come for the check-in.
*exception: July, August & Public holidays (Easter, Whitsun, Ascension)
Are pets allowed?
We welcome a maximum of two dogs per pitch. Dogs must be always kept on a lead on the campsite. By the way: when you leave the campsite and start your walk to the left, you will find a fenced-in dog play area and a bathing area about 200 meters away. Here your dog can romp, play, roll in the grass and bathe – all off the lead.
Cats or other pets are only allowed in exceptional circumstances.
Is there a swimming pool on the campsite?
Unfortunately, there is no swimming pool at our campsite. There is one located opposite the lido, which is subject to a charge. With the guest card there is a 10% discount on the entrance fee.
Where can I swim in the lake?
Opposite our campsite there is the lido, which you must pay for. With your guest card you will receive a 10% discount on the entrance fee. To the left and right of the lido – along the lakeside promenade – you can refresh yourself in Lake Lucerne free of charge at any time.
Where can I charge my electric car?
You can charge your e-car around 100 meters from the campsite in an official e-car charging car park. A charge at the campsite costs CHF 40 and must be paid and registered in advance at reception.
How does the bread roll service work?
During the months of April-October, bread rolls can be pre-ordered daily at Camping-Bistro Seegrill until 8pm the evening before.
How does the laundry work?
To use the washing machine and tumble dryer, a deposit of CHF 20.00/ or EURO 20.00 in cash must be paid at reception for the washing card. In addition, it is necessary to load credit to the value of CHF 10.00/ CHF 20.00/ CHF 30.00 onto the card. This amount can only be paid in CASH and CHF. A wash load costs between CHF 3.50 and CHF 5.00; a tumble dryer costs approx. CHF 3.50. The remaining credit will be refunded in CHF at reception after use.
When does the barrier close?
The main gate is closed daily between 22:00 and 07:00. Later entry by car or earlier departure is not possible.
Am I allowed to make a barbecue?
There is a barbecue station near the reception, which is available to all our guests free of charge. A barbecue grill/tongs can be borrowed from reception for a deposit of CHF 5.00/ EURO 5.00 in cash; you must bring your own charcoal. You may also barbecue on the pitch with a charcoal grill. Please make sure that there is little smoke and, if possible, choose gravel as a surface.
Where can I find an extension cable/adapter?
These can be borrowed from reception against a deposit in CHF or EURO in cash.
Where do I dispose of my grey water and chemical toilet?
Grey water (sink/shower wastewater): Please use the station behind reception or at wash house P3 (only open in summer).
Black water (chemical toilet): Never dispose of the chemical toilet in the normal sanitary buildings/WCs. Instead, use the disposal station at the front of P2 or at the front of P3 (only open in summer).
How do I get to the center of Lucerne city by public transport?
Bus routes 6, 8 and 24 depart from the Museum of Transport towards Lucerne every 10 minutes until midnight. The best place to get off is at Schwanenplatz; here you are a few steps away from the Chapel Bridge and the Old Town. With your guest ticket you can travel free of charge in the entire Zone 10 (Lucerne city center, Meggen, Kriens, Horw, Ebikon, Emmenbrücke). Please check the validity date of your guest ticket and contact reception if there are any discrepancies.
